We Exist to Bridge India's Richness with Global Demand
India grows some of the world's finest natural ingredients. But for food manufacturers outside India, accessing them reliably — with the right certifications, the right quality, and the right documentation — has always been a challenge. We built The Extra House to solve that.
Our Story
The Extra House was born out of a simple frustration: why is it so hard to source incredible natural ingredients from India, when India is literally the world's pantry?
Our founder spent years watching international food companies struggle with unreliable suppliers, inconsistent quality, customs rejections, and documentation nightmares — all while India's farms produced some of the finest turmeric, ashwagandha, moringa, and spices on the planet.
We built The Extra House to be the bridge that was missing. We've assembled a team that combines deep knowledge of Indian agriculture, international trade compliance, logistics, and quality assurance — so our clients get a truly end-to-end sourcing partner they can trust.
Today we serve food manufacturers across 30+ countries, with an ever-growing catalog of 500+ natural ingredients — all sourced ethically, tested thoroughly, and delivered reliably.
What We Stand For
Our values aren't on a wall — they're in every shipment we send and every client relationship we build.
Purity First
We never compromise on quality. Every ingredient is tested, verified, and traceable back to its source.
Global Mindset
We understand the compliance requirements of every major importing country and prepare documentation accordingly.
Ethical Sourcing
We work only with suppliers who pay fair wages, practice sustainable farming, and maintain ethical labor standards.
Long-Term Partnerships
We build relationships, not just transactions. Most of our clients have been with us for 3+ years.
Why Source from India?
India accounts for 70% of global spice production, is the world's largest exporter of turmeric, and is home to thousands of medicinal plants used in Ayurveda for over 5,000 years.
The country's 15+ distinct agro-climatic zones mean that almost any tropical, subtropical, or temperate ingredient can be grown here — from Himalayan herbs to tropical coconut-derived products.
And with a mature, FSSAI-regulated food safety ecosystem and access to organic, ISO, and international certifications, India is positioned to meet the strictest global quality standards.
